Your sofa is where memories happen. From casual chats and meaningful conversation to true relaxation and time with family and friends. For most of us it’s one of the most frequently used pieces of furniture in the house. And it’s a big investment. Choosing a sofa that’s right for you matters.
First released in 2003, Jasper has consistently been our best-selling design for almost two decades. Our customers often choose Jasper because of its flexible modular design, comfort, storage options, and relaxed style.
But experience has shown us that Jasper isn’t right for everyone.
Our Showroom teams encourage customers to take their time to research and understand all the benefits and drawbacks before bringing Jasper home, and to compare with the options offered by other brands they are exploring.
We will explore the pros and cons of Jasper – from modularity, internal construction, size, customisation, price, firmness, and maintenance – to give you assurance you are making the best choice.
Experience unrivalled comfort with sumptuous back cushions and ultimate support from the steel frame.
The consistent feedback we receive from our customers is that they choose Jasper for modular flexibility, deep seated comfort, and the option to customise with shelves, storage, and a range of accessories.
Because Jasper's patented component connecting system allows the seats, arms, backs, and shelves to be reconfigured, you can arrange the chaise on your sofa's left- or right-hand side and even turn Jasper into a guest bed.
Jasper is known for its comfort and providing that sink-in feeling when you relax into it. With its sumptuous Ultradown® back cushions and supportive Postureflex® Seating System, this sofa is an excellent option if you seek comfort.
Jasper is the pinnacle of design excellence.
Like all of our sofas, Jasper is built on a steel foundation. Precision engineered from high-grade galvanised steel, the KING steel frame is built to last and comes with a 25-year warranty. The steel frame works together with the Postureflex® Seating System to provide ultimate support.
The Postureflex® seating system features the same steel suspension used in luxury European cars. In conjunction with the steel frame, it creates a robust combination that enables Jasper to be modular in its design.
While aesthetics are important, the quality and longevity of the internal materials and construction will make a significant difference whether the look and feel of your sofa wanes over time.

Effortlessly transform Jasper into a luxury guest bed anytime you need.
Size
The size of Jasper won’t suit everyone. While Jasper offers the ability to move its components into a range of different settings and increase or decrease its seating capacity, it is one of our larger options.
The smallest Jasper options are Package 13 and Package 13B, which offers a 2-seater plus chaise and measures 2860 x 1820. You will always have the option to add more modular components if needed.
Remember to measure your living space before you search for a sofa, as this will save time and will rule out options immediately.
Modular design
While many customers see a modular sofa design as a great benefit, others not seeking this option may feel that this feature adds extra cost to their sofa investment without providing additional advantages.
Jasper’s modular design often works best for those with growing families or those who have children who currently live at home and will move out in the future.
Price
Price is an important consideration as a sofa is a significant investment. Jasper is on the more expensive side, and while the cost is based on its quality construction and materials, keeping within your budget is important.
It is best to decide on your budget before trying your favourite sofa designs in person. The best sofa for you is a sofa that suits your needs, and that includes budget.
Cushion filling
Jasper's back cushions are filled with Ultradown®. While this filling provides the comfort Jasper is known for, it needs to be ‘plumped-up’ to maintain a neat appearance and shape. You will need to roll the back cushion forward and plump it a few times regularly to ensure the filling remains evenly spread.
You have the option to choose between memory foam or feather seat cushions, however some of our customers find Jasper feels softer than they would like and prefer a firmer option.
Jasper also sits low to the floor, and some find that they prefer a higher design.
Customise your Jasper with premium timber shelves and a range of smart accessories.
Modular design
Jasper’s modular design can help ‘future proof’ when your tastes or preferences change or your family grows. The option to take apart and reassemble the components also makes moving homes easier.
At its core, a modular sofa design gives choice. The choice to create a custom configuration. The choice to take your sofa with you wherever you go. And the choice to continue enjoying experiencing Jasper as your family grows.
Modularity also provides the ability to reuse and repair individual parts, leading to a longer life.
Removable covers
Jasper is made-to-order and is available in a range of premium fabrics and leathers. The covers are completely removable, making it easy to have them professionally cleaned or replaced for an entirely new look. This can help to extend the life of your sofa.
Customisation
You can choose to include under-seat storage in your Jasper, where everyday items can be tidied away effortlessly with a single-handed lift.
The timber shelving is customisable in three premium timber finishes and creates a visually attractive and functional platform, while the matching media console offers a convenient place to stow away essentials within arm's reach.
Smart accessories
Smart accessories are another way to tailor Jasper to suit your lifestyle. The Smart Pocket™ feature enables a range of smart accessories to integrate seamlessly, including a wireless charging table, LED reading light, and SONOS compatible speaker bracket.
Jasper is designed to stand the test of time.
Understanding the pros and cons of Jasper, from comfort to modularity, to size, cost, and the ability to customise, all lead to an informed buying decision.
Because a sofa becomes an integral part of your living area and life and is an investment, having peace of mind that you are choosing the best sofa for you matters.
Having options to adapt your sofa to your lifestyle to ensure it lasts is inherent to our design philosophy and the major reason Jasper has become a top choice.
