If you've visited a KING Showroom or know someone who owns a Jasper Sofa, you’ll be familiar with the best-selling sofa’s unrivalled comfort, luxury and quality.
Despite the comfort and sophisticated design, we understand buying a Jasper is a significant investment. And, like most big-ticket items, you may need more information before deciding whether Jasper is right for you.
To inform your decision we’ve compiled some of our most frequently asked questions and concerns about Jasper.
In this article, we will answer:
Jasper effortlessly transforms into various configurations, including a guest bed. Jasper Package 1A is featured above in Whiteley Riverstone.
Our customers choose Jasper because of its flexible modular design, comfort, storage options, and limitless configurations.
The patented component connecting system allows Jasper to instantly reconfigure into multiple settings, including positioning the chaise on the left or right.
With the Jasper Bed Brackets, you can also arrange the Jasper Sofa into a comfortable guest bed.
Jasper Package 1A is one of our most popular Jasper designs. The three-seater sofa featuring a deep chaise arranges into five different configurations.
You can tailor Jasper with timber finish shelves and a range of smart accessories, including a wireless charging table, LED reading light and SONOS-compatible speaker brackets that integrate seamlessly with Smart Pockets™.
You can also customise your Jasper with hidden under-seat storage, which offers discrete and effortless storage without compromising the sofa design.
As a custom sofa, each Jasper is made-to-order and unique to the individual customer's style, colour preferences and needs.
One of the many benefits of buying modular furniture is you can always add additional modules and components in the future.
Whether you want to add a chaise, another chair or even a two-seater to your Jasper Package, additional modules and accessories can be added at any time.
You can purchase additional Jasper modules for your sofa and reconfigure the layout to best suit your space and needs.
If you are buying additional modules several years after you purchased your Jasper, consider having the King Care® team replace the removable covers for a fresh new look. This will also ensure the best colour match of the material between the new and old modules.
Aesthetics aside, there is a lot to consider when deciding whether you want leather or fabric for your Jasper.
Knowing how to care for and maintain the different materials may help you determine which finish will best suit you and your lifestyle.
While fabric sofas typically require more cleaning and maintenance than a leather sofa, we offer take-home products designed to help with occasional spills, light stains and the regular upkeep of your Jasper.

To maintain and care for your fabric Jasper, use the King Guard® Fabric Protector. This protective fabric treatment helps repel liquids and stains. However, it is also important to immediately clean up any spills or stains with the King Care® Spot Cleaner. This will help to remove the mess and prevent any spills from penetrating deep into the fabric and becoming permanent stains.
As an animal hide, leather is a flexible, adaptable and durable material ideal for sofas and furniture design.
One of the benefits of using leather for your Jasper sofa is leather has a degree of natural water resistance, which helps repel spills, stains and soiling.
If you spill something on your leather sofa, the leather can be wiped clean with a dry cloth making the cleaning process relatively low maintenance.
While leather is stain and water-resistant, it is still important to clean and care for the leather. Using the right products on your leather sofa will help prolong its life and maintain its appearance.

Regularly using a leather conditioner and protector helps clean the sofa, maintain the water-resistant capabilities, and keep the leather soft and moisturised.
Additionally, conditioning the leather lubricates and nourishes the fibres, restoring its natural flexibility.
If you do not care for your leather sofa or use a leather conditioner, the leather can lose its natural oils and moisture, which may cause the leather to crack.
It is important to know fabric pilling is completely normal and not considered a fault.
Pilling occurs when the fibres in the fabric rub together. This friction causes the fibres on the surface to become loose and ball up. This is why you will see pilling on many material products, including garments, rugs, and mattresses.
Loose fibres on clothes, blankets or throws, a speck of lint or dirt are often the catalyst for the fibres to twist and ball up. And, while pilling can be a nuisance, there are various tools available to help remove pills from your sofa.
KING recommends regularly vacuuming your sofa to help minimise the appearance of pills. However, a fabric pill remover will achieve greater results. This will make a noticeable difference and does not affect the ongoing performance of the fabric.
Certain fibres and weaves are more prone to pilling than others. If you are concerned about fabric pilling, speak with your Showroom Consultant or the online team about fabrics that are more resistant to pilling.
Jasper is a very versatile sofa. Customised options include clever hidden storage, integrated shelving, and a media console.
With sumptuous back cushions filled with Ultradown®, Jasper creates a cocoon of deep luxury and provides that sink-in feeling when you sit down.
While this comfort makes Jasper one of our most popular designs, it requires some care and attention to prolong its life and maintain its appearance.
To maintain a neat appearance and shape, you will need to regularly fluff and plump your cushions. To fluff your back cushions, roll the cushion forward onto the seat while holding the bolster and then bang the cushion firmly against the seat cushion. This helps separate the feathers evenly across the cushion, which creates a neat and plump appearance.
Jasper seat cushions are available in your choice of memory foam or feather overlay. While both are comfortable, the memory foam requires less maintenance than the feather overlay, which you will also need to plump and fluff regularly.
King Care® services are designed to help customers maintain, clean and refresh their furniture. One of these exclusive after-sales support services includes sofa recovering.
Whether you purchased your KING sofa twenty years ago or two, sofa recovering is available to all our customers.
Replacing the removable covers on your Jasper sofa is a cost-effective alternative to reupholstering or purchasing a new sofa.
Depending on how old your sofa is and the level of general wear and tear, you may also wish to consider getting new cushioning inserts for your sofa. The King Care® team can assess your sofa and provide you with a quote.
Choose from our range of quality fabrics and luxury European leathers for your new covers, which will be delivered and refitted in your home.
Having your sofa recovered can also help to extend its lifespan.
